I study how social identities, such as being a parent or a refugee, shape people's everyday experiences and opportunities for identity integration, or seeing their identities as positive and compatible. I examine how differences in identity integration across social groups contribute to inequalities in well-being, work, and life choices, and whether strengthening identity integration can help interrupt this pathway.
